Margaret Richards on behalf of the protection group told the media Thursday that the unlawful killing of healthy badgers in Yorkshire could lead to unhealthy badgers moving into the area.
Badgers are under attack from many angles with some farmers accused of unnecessarily killing the critters.
According to the RSPCA:
The RSPCA offers "If you’re concerned that someone has done something illegal to a wild animal, please call our 24-hour Cruelty line on 0300 1234 999 - or contact the police."
About the East Yorkshire Badger Protection Group
The East Yorkshire Badger Protection Group is the only group in East Yorkshire devoted solely to the welfare of badgers, although we are also interested in the welfare of all wildlife. Our area, which covers the ‘old’ East Riding of Yorkshire, is roughly that from Filey in the north down to Spurn Point in the south and out west as far as York and Goole.
If you would like to volunteer to help the fight to protect badgers in the East Yorkshire region check out the group here.
