Sixty members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association, from London and Scotland, volunteered to help the recovery operation in parts of Cumbria in the North of England.
But this is not the first time British citizens who are also members of the country's Muslim community have helped out -in March 2014 BBC News reported "Members of the Muslim community in West Yorkshire have raised £16,000 for Somerset's flood victims after seeing pictures of the devastation on the news. A delegation from The Indian Muslim Welfare Society from Dewsbury has visited Thorney and Burrowbidge to hand over a cheque to the Somerset community."
For those who do not know West Yorkshire is a long way from Somerset.
That means the group went that extra mile to help other British citizens not just local communities and residents.
BLACKBURN charity Al-Imdaad Foundation UK works in more than 65 countries to offer humanitarian assistance and it too helped flood victims in Somerset.
If we are quick to report, note and comment on negative Muslim news why the reticence in 'good news' reporting?
Is it because that does not sell or is there another agenda?
