The above image is part of a campaign to highlight the dangers of swimming or just messing about in cold water outdoors.
It does not matter how strong a swimmer you are.
It does not matter that it is winter as people still sometimes foolishly end up in cold, deep water.
Cold water may tempt more people to just jump in during summer months and warm weather but how many end up accidentally in the water in autumn and winter? And how many are intoxicated?
Sadly too many.
Becky Ramsay is working hard to prevent further deaths. She has a vested interest you could say. Becky's son died almost six years ago aged 13.
Becky Ramsay October 2016:
There are obvious things you can do to protect you and yours from a tragic death in open cold water.
One thing is educate by supporting, signing and sharing Becky's petition.
The petition asks that "Relevant services come together to prevent lives lost in open water yearly."
It includes further information.
The government has restricted its petition service by reducing time allowed to reach the minimum number of sgnatures. This means the petition urgently needs your support.
Will you help save lives by supporting Becky Ramsay?
