Right-wing terrorist Thomas Mair guilty of Jo Cox MP murder-life sentence

Wednesday as PMQs ended in the House of Commons and new Tory Chancellor Philip Hammond got to his feet to announce his Autumn Statement, aka budget, news broke that Thomas Mair, 53, had been found guilty of the murder of Jo Cox.

He will spend the rest of his life in Jail.

In June Mair shot Mrs Cox twice in the head and once in the chest with a sawn-off .22 hunting rifle at close range before stabbing her 15 times.

Police reportedly found a large amount of right-wing extremist literature and memorabilia at Mair"s home.

Jo Cox, 41, died within hours, or perhaps minutes, of a vicious attack on the streets of her Batley and Spen constituency and Thomas Mair was charged with murder, grievous bodily harm, possession of a firearm with intent to commit an indictable offence and possession of an offensive weapon.

Appearing in Westminster Magistrates' Court in June Mair refused to give his real name or confirm his address. When asked his name he said it was "Death to traitors, freedom for Britain."

Jo Cox was a bright, bubbly Yorkshire lass who worked tirelessly for others before becoming an MP in 2015. A mother of two young children and wife to Brendan, Jo and her family were a fine example of all that is right in life and politics.

Thursday June 16, 2016, Jo Cox was killed in her constituency, brutally attacked in broad daylight.

A 77-year-old man who tried to intervene sustained serious injuries.

Hate played a part in the death of Jo Cox and the mainstream media and some politicians may have to accept some blame.

Having whipped some sections of British society almost into an in / out of the EU frenzy the mainstream media may have to hold its hands up.

Similarly as PMQs became increasingly vitriolic with some MPs acting in a derisory manner online and feeding the msm a series of hate fuelled reports they too must hold up their hands.

At the Old Bailey Wednesday "In his closing speech, the prosecuting counsel, Richard Whittam QC, said Cox had been the victim of a cowardly attack: “The sheer brutality of her murder and the utter cowardice of her murderer bring the two extremities of humanity face to face.”
