Jo Cox was a bright, bubbly Yorkshire lass who worked tirelessly for others before becoming an MP in 2015. A mother of two young children and wife to Brendan Jo and her family were a fine example of all that is right in life and politics.
Thursday June 16, 2016, Jo Cox was killed in her constituency. She was brutally attacked in broad daylight and died hours later. A 77-year-old man who tried to intervene sustained serious injuries but is now in a stable condition. There is a great deal of speculation online about the motive but here at NEWTEKWORLDNEWS we will wait for definitive evidence. Hate played a part in the death of Jo Cox and the mainstream media and many politicians may have to accept some blame. Having whipped some sections of British society almost into an in / out of the EU frenzy the mainstream media may have to hold its hands up. Similarly as PMQs have become increasingly vitriolic in recent days, with some MPs acting in a derisory manner online and feeding the msm a series of hate fuelled reports they too must hold up their hands. #dontblameus may be trending on social media as lawmakers consider more social media restrictions but some trolls are also to blame. Until we have more information we will not update the story of the murder of Jo Cox but instead use this page to post our early reports. RIP Jo Cox - thoughts with the immediate family and the Labour Party family. |
