The UK has banned a series of hate preachers from entering the UK. Why is Trump, a big windbag with plenty of money, any different?
[For those who do not know-the word Trump in the US and UK can be a term when playing cards or used to mean a victory. Here in the UK any school child can tell you it is also a semi-polite word for a body fart. Yes fart Donald. How appropriate]
If he ultimately becomes president of the USA a UK ban could make life difficult but the difficulties are not insurmountable.
Trump may yet break from the Republicans and go it alone; unlike many other presidential hopefuls he does not need corporate money to finance an election campaign.
But we also need to remember that at this stage of the 2012 Presidential race Newt Gingrich was attracting media attention and looked a front runner. Gingrich is another egotistical man; his popularity grew with ever more wild promises but sanity prevailed.
Trump is in effect acting as a lieutenant for Daesh stirring up trouble, fuelling religious hatred and dividing communities.
According to Trump there are radicalised areas of London where police never enter; in fact according to Trump British police are afraid to enter.
He has called for a ban on all Muslims entering the USA at least until "we can figure out what the hell is going on."
That is a strange statement, on many levels, from a man with Presidential ambitions.
Does that mean if, god forbid, he became President of the USA no world leader who is a Muslim will be able to enter the USA?
Watching an interview from a US news channel he was given an easy ride by a calm, quietly spoken female commentator and there was a brief point when Trump sounded almost sane. But then Trump commented that they, meaning Muslims as a religious group, committed the 9/11 atrocities and his attempt at a rational debate unravelled.
If we hold any group of people or any religion responsible for the actions of a few we are on to a hiding to nothing.
During the so-called Troubles Irish rebels come terrorists launched a series of bombing campaigns in the UK. Catholics who wanted a free and independent Northern Ireland rose up but the majority of Irish citizens did not break the law.
But does that mean the UK should have prevented all Catholics from entering England?
Total Trump insanity.
[Mr Trump should also take note that some American citizens supplied money to Irish dissidents which helped fund the Irish bombing campaigns]
SNP leader and First Minister of Scotland Nicola Sturgeon has shown more backbone than George Osborne, Tory, and Wednesday dropped Donald Trump, from here on referred to as fart-face, as a business ambassador for Scotland.
Sturgeon is taking a financial risk;in March he unveiled a massive expansion of his Scottish golf resort – despite threat not to invest 'another penny' over a wind farm plan-Mail Online
Having received a petition link to demand fart-face is stripped of an honorary degree from the Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, signing has not been necessary. Wednesday he was stripped of the honorary degree by the Scottish university after a re-think.
Fart-face may be getting his 15 minutes of fame, and some, but all we can say is, bring it on.

Wednesday January 6, 2016, we are told that parliament will debate the petition, to ban Trump from entering the UK, on January 18, 2016.
