Garissa is located in the north east of Kenya. It has been attacked by Al Shabab extremists but this is the worst attack on Kenyans since the US embassy was attacked in 1998.
Authorities have posted a reward for the capture of Mohammed Kuno aka Gamadhere who is believed to be the planner of the slaughter. He is a former teacher in Garissa. Kuno was wanted for murder and terror activities before this lastest attack. The current reward is for Sh 5 million(53 669USD).
Kenya shares its northern border with Somalia, the country were the Al Quaeda linked group started. People have fled Somalia for safety in Kenya but that country’s hospitality was severely tested when the extremists attacked the Westgate shopping mall in Nairobi, killing 67.
