The British Tory party are the worst kind of cancer; they have spread to every bit of this country and have damaged the infra-structure so badly it will take years to recover and even longer to eradicate. Every generation has been affected and will carry the scars for a lifetime. The Tories have now made it law that companies can no longer follow an ethical and humanitarian stand. Some companies will be forced to do business with Israeli firms that are deliberately and steadily eradicating a whole nation. These companies are part of the occupation of Palestine. They stand by while the Palestinian people are forced to leave their homes; they stand back as children are shot. And this government want our companies such as the Co-op to do business with them or be prosecuted. I don’t expect anything different from the Tories. After all they are quite happy to starve, displace and kill off their own people. I however expect better from anyone in the Labour Party. One such person is Luke Akehurst. Not only is he chairman of Labour First he is also part of a group called the Friends Of Israel. He often speaks at their conference but he actually works for BICOM Britain Israel Communications and Research Centre (BICOM). This company also makes substantial donations to the Conservative party. {Definitely a conflict of interest there} Luke Akehurst is not only a chairman of Labour First he is also a supporter of Progress and an anti-Corbyn promoter. He is also supported in his effort to become a member of the NEC, by Michael Dugher {the person who is tipped to challenge Jeremy in a leadership contest if Labour doesn’t do well in the May elections}. Do we really want people like this in the NEC, a body which makes policy for the Labour party? He is a part of the disease that the Tories are trying to infect the Labour Party with. We need to be letting our CLPs know that people like him do not belong in Labour. The power is in our hands let’s use it to eradicate the cancer in the Labour party. So use your power of veto and use your vote to put people into the NEC who share a true social ideology and that is not Luke Akehurst. From a group of concerned Labour members and voters

Robert Weller Accusing Iowa of stealing its primary from him, Donald Trump is threatening to take his ball back and stop the game. Abe Lincoln would have called Ted Cruz out and met him with fists. He has warned networks, in frequent calls that became interviews, that if the Iowa caucus is not redone he will not talk to them anymore. Surprisingly, he has gotten support from Bernie Sanders, who is accusing Hillary Clinton of not only shouting at rallies, but claiming a victory she did not win. If anyone thinks he is kidding, Trump took his road show to Arkansas on Wednesday, where there was no competition going on. He lost in Iowa, where he told people they were stupid, by more than 3 points. Trump had been predicting victory though he had done little on-the-ground campaigning. Clinton and Sanders were virtually tied, but Hillary had a handful more votes. The thing is, close only accounts in horse shoes and hand grenades. It’s too soon to speak definitely, but it does seem Trump is getting less time on the networks after his fall from grace. The withdrawal of several less candidates means giving Trump carte blanche on the air will be more noticeable. It is somewhat surprising that a rich capitalist who thinks he owns the country can be so clear about it. The next race is in New Hampshire, another nearly entirely white state. However, its residents are a bit more polished than the Texas style rednecks who love the Donald. Many may not want to be seen as Trump lovers, if only to not annoy the college educated tourists it trys to draw. Clinton is under attack again. Not for emails or Benghazi. Critics say she talks to loud at rallies. The idea of a woman talking at all doesn’t sit well with many of these volk. Whinny Little Girl About the author Robert Weller lives in Colorado, USA. Check out his blog here Robert Weller The first time the media-enabled New Yorker carnival barker faced a test he lost. And Donald Trump lost to a man, Sen. Ted Cruz, who is pretty much universally hated in Congress. Trump barely trumped Sen. Marco Rubio. For month after month the mainstream media told us Trump was unbeatable. The media line now is that Trump lost because the evangelical vote went to Cruz. Another alternative is that the people of cow-country Iowa, with a century of caucuses, knew bullshit when they saw it. Pundits did not consider that a higher than expected turnout was the reason Trump lost -- people despise him. That does not fit the media’s narrative because it means Trump bamboozled them. Giving him hundreds of hours of free coverage. Google would have made him pay for a YouTube channel. Our next best reads will be what Trump has to say on Twitter. He is far to well-known in New Hampshire to use his lies and insults to win anything. As soon as they are done letting Trump defend himself, don’t be surprised if the media thinks twice before handing the microphone to him. The fact that Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders are drawing so much support shows that the Democrats are more than ready for a fight. The mainstream media, in reporting choreographed by the Oscars, fell over themselves trying to declare that the first time a woman had gotten 50 percent in Iowa was a victory for the all-white Sanders' bandwagon. During the brief periods they hadn't handed Trump the stage, pundits noted the demography of the country had changed. Whites, and they are not all Trump lovers, no longer dominate. Latinos and blacks won't be voting for Republicans. Either Hillary or Sanders will create an American government that is on the same page with its people. Yes, same sex marriage, legal abortion, health care, legalized marijuana, diplomacy instead of carpet-bombing. About the author Robert Weller lives in Colorado, USA. Check out his blog here Jayne Linney Before Christmas I attended an emergency interim appointment with my psychotherapist, (I’m still waiting regular appointments 2 years after referral); this was due to my continuous depression and dissociation becoming dangerous; I was constantly fighting thoughts of suicide. Because the S word was used, my therapist was obliged to write to my GP, which then led to my carer being compelled to inform the DWP of a change in my circumstances; what amazed me was, this reported change resulted in me having to complete a new claim! Why the DWP feel a deterioration in mental health would be helped by having to go through the process of a new claim I’ve no idea? Anyway my carer duly filled in the form, and on page 31, other information, he stated HE was both my full time carer and would be acting as my representative, this was then sent off along with the appropriate report from my therapist. I received a home visit fairly quickly from a pleasant man, who after numerous requests as to his qualifications, reluctantly admitted he was a paramedic; when it came to him asking me about my mental health he decided it would be a good idea to tell me of his experiences of dealing with people who had taken their own lives. In truth all this did, was inform me where not to carry out my thoughts, and in no way made me feel any more positive; if anything it caused me to focus on my suicide plan even more. Two weeks ago the dreaded brown envelope arrived with the decision; which along with the usual errors of the decision makers (DM) not reading the information, this unknown DM had in their wisdom, determined, because I am still on the waiting list for regular therapy, my mental health wasn’t too bad! As if this wasn’t enough to deal with, the same day my daughter phoned and said she had also received a copy of my decision; I went ballistic. The whole reason for Tony, my partner dealing with everything was because I didn’t want my daughter knowing just how ill I was. As this was a Saturday, I stressed until the Monday morning when Tony rang to request a copy of the assessors report, he also asked why my information had been sent out to another person; the call centre operative checked and apparently a decision maker had decided to change him as my rep and add my daughter instead?!! A complaint was immediately written and sent off and we’re awaiting the response; so be warned, if you have a change in circumstances be prepared to go through yet another claim and hope your info doesn’t get sent to anyone else. I’ll update this when the reply arrives. Jayne Linney Check out Jayne Linney's blog here Days ago UK Labour party members Karen Meanwell and Joanne Sinton sent an open letter to the party's General Secretary Iain McNicol. Mr McNicol replied promptly and this is what he said: Dear Karen and Joanne Thank you for your ongoing support of the Labour Party. I couldn’t agree more that as a party we must move forward as one. However I reject your claim that there are ‘parties within a party’. Neither Progress, the Fabians, Momentum or Labour First or any other group like that are registered political parties, and we should celebrate the fact that as a party we encompass a broad range of opinions. I also reject your claim that the NEC is not democratic. It is our party’s governing body, and members are elected or appointed from different sections of the party to represent all our members and supporters. Our policies are created through the National Policy Forum, which is an elected body within the party, and agreed at Party Conference – which represents all of us. It is the core of our existence as a party that we come together to represent working people from across the country, representing different views, perspectives and issues. If you look on the back of your membership cards, it says “by the strength of our common endeavour we achieve more than we achieve alone.” That means we achieve more together rather than as one – and being welcoming to people with different opinions or points of views. Let’s proceed in the spirit of tolerance, solidarity and respect for all members of the Labour Party. With kind regards Iain McNicol General Secretary [The letter "Open letter to Iain McNicol Labour party NEC"] |
