The melting of permafrost releases large quantities of methane gas. This release was noted in Northern Russia last summer where giant holes made by gas escaping the frozen earth have locals deeply worried about where the next explosion will be.

The Canadian Government advises Canadians to avoid all travel and if you are unfortunate enough to be in the country in spite of previous warnings get out now. “the security situation has deteriorated significantly and foreigners are at extreme risk.” Government of Canada The advice to citizens of the UK from their government is to leave immediately. The government further advises that any that chose to ignore the evacuation advice will be on their own in Yemen. There will be no rescue flights. To add to the two way fighting between the Shia and Sunni factions, Al-Qaida members continue to target westerners and Houthis. Animal studies have shown a connection between glyphosate and kidney, skin and pancreatic cancers. Monsanto, the leading producer of GM plants engineered to survive a spraying with their Roundup product has published a lengthy statement on their website refuting the studies by the independent studies and criticizes the work of the IARC.
